The proposed benefits
- Provide a continuous footway link between the Viney Close and Titchener Way
- Improve connections to existing footways near Titchener Way
- Enable safer and more direct access to local supermarket and surrounding facilities
- Support access to the wider walking network in Hook
This scheme supports the aims of Hampshire County Council’s Local Transport Plan 4 (LTP4) by:
- Improving accessibility for people walking
- Encouraging more sustainable local journeys
- Supporting safer and more active travel choices
- Funding Arrangements
- Funding for the transport capital delivery schemes is separate from the County Council’s revenue budget and savings proposals. In the majority of cases funding comes from external grants and / or Section 106 contribution from developers. This funding usually has conditions that strictly control on how, where and when it can be spent.
