Chilbolton composting site

Green garden waste is taken to one of two composting sites in the county - Chilbolton and Little Bushy Warren in Basingstoke. The sites process over 100,000 tonnes of compost material every year.

The waste is composted in long rows called windrows. It takes 20 weeks to turn the waste into Pro-Grow, a high quality soil and lawn conditioner. You can buy Pro-Grow at any Household Waste Recycling Centre.
