As part of the Botley Bypass project, some funds have been allocated to improve Botley village centre. At present there is a lot of traffic in the village. The new bypass will provide an alternative route for vehicles. The aim of this scheme is to encourage drivers to use the bypass, lower vehicle speeds in the village and make Botley a more pleasant place to spend time in.
The scheme being developed involves widening footways and narrowing roads, implementing crossing points and similar measures with the intention of making Botley a more pleasant place to move around and spend time.
