Hampshire Armed Forces Support
The Lieutenancy strongly supports the Regular and Reserve Forces of the Crown and encourages all Local Authorities to honour the Armed Forces Covenant.
Lord-Lieutenant Cadets
Each year the Lord-Lieutenant appoints several young people to serve as his Cadets.
The Cadets wear a badge of their appointment to denote their role during their year of duty.
Some of the duties of a cadet include:
- assisting the Lord-Lieutenant as required, often on Parades and at Royal visits
- acting as ambassadors for their organisations and the young people of Hampshire
