Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) booking and permit system
Privacy Notice
Hampshire County Council collects information about you in order to provide a booking service for Hampshire HWRCs (Household Waste Recycling Centres). This system is in place to manage customer demand, facilitate controlled and safe HWRC operation and provide trade waste controls and for enforcement purposes.
We will use the information to:
- identify you
- process and confirm your booking and or permit
- contact you regarding your booking and or permit
- manage your booking and or permit
- identify out of county visitors to Hampshire's HWRCs
- monitor your usage of the HWRC service
- notify you if there is an issue with the HWRC network that will impact upon your booking
- take action to prevent abuse of the HWRC network, booking system and or permit system
The legal basis for our use of this information is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the County Council.
We will share your personal information with Veolia UK Ltd as the operator of the HWRC sites. We also may share your information with Southampton City Council and Portsmouth City Council as the service providers of Portsmouth (Paulsgrove) HWRC and Southampton (City Depot) HWRC. Please note: address information will not be shared with Veolia UK Ltd.
We will share your information with third party processors in order to provide a service to you. These are: Pentagull Ltd, Stipe Inc.
Your personal information will be kept for 1 year after your booking or permit expiration date. This includes your name, full address and postcode, unique property reference number (UPRN), email address, vehicle registration. If you have booked your visit via the OurHants mobile application, we will also use the Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Token generated by your device, so that push notifications can be sent to your device in the event of a HWRC site closure or booking amendment requested outside of the OurHants mobile application. An FCM token is a unique identification for an application on a device. This token will be also deleted 1 year after the booking or permit expiration date.
