What happens at a celebration of life memorial
The memorial ceremony can be tailored to suit you. The ceremony can include:
- welcome and introductions
- brief outline of the ceremony
- eulogy – this can be delivered by friends and family or by the celebrant
- readings and poems – these can be delivered by friends and family or by the celebrant
- music
- sharing of memories
- time for reflection
- farewell and close.
If you would like to scatter ashes as part of the ceremony, speak to your venue in advance for any permissions which might be required.
Where can I hold a celebration of life memorial?
You can decide on the best venue for your celebration of life memorial. This could be at your home or garden, a hotel, village hall, or another special non-religious setting.
If you’re hiring a venue for your ceremony, this must be booked and paid for separately.
