Operational Maintenance Manager

Portrait of Antony Street

I joined Hampshire County Council in September 2025 to head up the reactive maintenance team, following a career in reactive and planned maintenance, compliance and asset management across the public and social housing sectors. What drew me to HCC was the variety of buildings we manage and how flexible Hampshire County Council are to work for, plus the great benefits.

My work, and that of my teams, helps to make sure the 1000’s of council buildings which staff, visitors and residents rely on every day are safe, well maintained and fit for purpose. We look after everything from Winchester’s 13th century Great Hall to cafes in our country park, to our IT Data Centre to residential care homes.

I work closely with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders to ensure planned preventive maintenance and reactive works are well planned, value for money and responsive to the needs of the services they support.

I enjoy working collaboratively, supporting my teams to be agile, and helping to create positive, sustainable improvements in the way we manage and maintain our assets.
