Enver Eng
Trainee Engineer
At college I studied Electrical Principles and Engineering Drawing and was eager to find an apprenticeship within engineering. I applied for the role of Trainee Electrical Engineer at Hampshire County Council, which strongly appealed to me, as the degree apprenticeship provides support through University, whilst allowing me to work towards my goal of becoming a Chartered Engineer.
My role at the County Council gives me the opportunity to create engineering designs that leave a positive mark on the buildings and people that use them.
As a Trainee Engineer, I am involved in numerous interesting projects, such as distribution board upgrades and improving sustainability through LED lighting replacement projects. I also support other professional disciplines, such as Building Surveyors, with larger projects including refurbishments and extensions, enabling me to broaden my knowledge and skills.
I enjoy being an ambassador for Hampshire County Council as it gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge and help inspire the next generation of trainees whilst meeting other professionals within the industry.
With my developing career in the County Council, I look forward to new challenges and the rewards this will bring for me.
