Jaz Wilson
Risk and Compliance Engineer
I joined Hampshire County Council in June 2021 as a Risk and Compliance Engineer, overseeing mechanical support within the Legionella team for a diverse portfolio across the County Council Estate. My role involves addressing remedial works requiring attention to assist the council in being compliant.
In this dynamic role, I actively collaborate with various areas of the company, leveraging my expertise as a plumber and my previous experience with one of our Term Maintenance Contactors. Together, we ensure compliance and efficiency, working on a range of tasks that extend beyond my core responsibilities. This collaborative approach not only enhances the overall performance but also promotes a supportive atmosphere that encourages knowledge sharing among colleagues, contributing to the success of the County Council.
Currently pursuing a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction and Building Services, I am committed to continuous professional development. Additionally, I am honoured to serve as the newly appointed Co-Vice-Chair for the Staff Disability Network, contributing to our company's commitment to inclusivity.
Specialising in Legionella remedial works and oil tank surveying and compliance, I bring an additional layer of expertise to my role. As I approach the completion of my HNC, I look forward to continuing my journey in this dynamic and diverse environment, finding daily challenges both stimulating and rewarding, and contributing to the success of the County Council.
