The range of work we get involved in never ceases to amaze us ….for instance, I bet you wouldn’t have thought that last year our Property Services #OurDay campaign would feature Charolais cows. Surprised? Well we are involved in the management of 63 farms and land holdings owned by Hampshire County Council.
#OurDay 2017 also featured something unexpected – bats! The new roof at North Waltham Primary School was not only winner of the Confederation of Roofing Contractors Roof of the Month in October, but it now incorporates bat access tiles – thanks go to Tom one of our Graduate Building Surveyors for sharing this with us.
We also tweeted an update from Steve, one of our many Architects, on the Hindson House Respite Care Home as it nears completion; we shared energy saving tips from our Property related publication which goes to all Hampshire schools; posted updates from Siew Ping one of our Senior Structural Engineer on the construction work underway at St James Primary School including the building of new classrooms, a music room and a drama room; and also posted fabulous photos of the sustainable project using cross laminated timber at Oakridge Infant and Junior School.
And finally, as the perfect end to a perfect #OurDay, we shared the wonderful thank you cards that Alice, one of our Building Surveyors, received from the pupils at Bentley Primary School for their new classroom.
This is just a taste of the people and the variety of work that we do within Property Services. To find out more please look at the Award-winning work and the Selected Projects on our webpage.
And what will #OurDay 2018 feature? Well, you’ll just have to follow us and see!
