It’s proving to be an extremely popular scheme, and we received a high number of applicants for the available Degree Apprenticeship positions.
What is a Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship? The scheme allows the individual to undertake a part time honours degree, accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), one day a week at Portsmouth University. The other four days a week are spent with us in Property Services gaining hands on experience.
Building surveying is one of the widest areas of surveying practice, including everything from the conservation and restoration of historic buildings to contemporary new developments. The Degree Apprentices work will include assisting Building Surveyors and contract administrators with site surveys, building design and contract documentation and using IT skills to produce CAD technical drawings and outlines in conjunction with the project Building Surveyor. They will also have the opportunity to undertake their own projects as their skills develop.
Sound good? We will be looking to recruit more Degree Apprentices next year, specifically in the area of Quantity Surveying.
