Armed Forces ID card, discounts, and grant opportunities
Veteran Card
Veterans who have not received a Veteran card are now encouraged to Apply for a Veteran Card. The Veteran Card will provide veterans with a clear recognition of service, a tangible link to the Armed Forces, and allow them to easily verify their veteran status to access support and services from government, charities, and local authorities.
Discounts offered by Hampshire County Council
Hampshire County Council offers 50% off the standard entry price on production of an armed forces ID or Veteran card, for the person and their immediate family at:
Sir Harold Hillier Gardens offers 50% off day admission tickets when purchased on the day of a visit, and on production of an armed forces ID or Veteran card, for the person and their immediate family. Note: not valid with any other discount/offer or for any special events, trails, or workshops.
Poppy Stays for Military Families The Enda Ryan Poppy Pod Village is our legacy to Armed Service personnel. These pods are here in perpetuity to recognise and remember the sacrifices made and faced by the Armed Forces Community.
The pods provide residential holiday/respite facilities for service personnel, veterans and their families at a discounted rate and have been designed with accessibility in mind.
