To consider a report of the Director of Environment on the proposed establishment of a Joint Committee for the South Downs as an interim arrangement pending a decision on the future administration of the South Downs.

6. FUTURE GOVERNANCE OF THE RIVER HAMBLE (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Director of Environment on the proposed establishment of a River Hamble Harbour Board to discharge the County Council's responsibilities as Harbour Authority.

    To consider a report of the Chief Executive detailing progress with the implementation of the provisions of the Children Act.

    RECOMMENDATION:

    That, by virtue of the following Paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the consideration of the following items:
