1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

All members who believe that they have a personal or personal prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare their personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9,10,11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is being discussed. To consider the report of the County Education Officer describing outcomes from the fifth year of support for departments in secondary schools carried out by subject inspectors/advisers as part of the Education Development Plan.

6. AN EVALUATION OF THE WORK OF ATTACHED INSPECTORS (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the County Education Officer evaluating the impact of the work of attached inspectors and other HIAS staff in schools paid for from County Council central funds during the 2003/2004 financial year.

7. PUPIL ATTITUDE SURVEY 2004 (Report herewith)

    To consider the report of the County Education Officer setting out the results of the pupil attitude survey carried out with over 33,280 pupils in primary and secondary schools.

RECOMMENDATION:

That, by virtue of paragraphs 1, 7, 11 and 13 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items.
