To consider a report of the Head of Corporate and Legal Services and Monitoring Officer on complaints or allegations or misconduct referred to the Standards Board and on a specific case involving Councillor Davies-Dear.

To consider the report of the Head of Corporate and Legal Services and Monitoring Officer on the future of the role played by Independent Members in the work of the Standards Committee.
7 APPOINTMENT ARRANGEMENTS FOR INDEPENDENT MEMBERS
To consider the report of the Head of Corporate and Legal Services and Monitoring Officer on suggested arrangements for a Panel of Members to interview short-listed applicants to serve as Independent Members of the Standards Committee and also of the Independent Remuneration Panel.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this committee or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the Chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
Independent Members similarly qualify for payment of travelling expenses.
