2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

All members who believe that they have a personal or personal prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare their personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9,10,11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is being discussed. To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services setting out the results of the pupil attitude survey which was carried out during 2005 with pupils in primary and secondary schools.

7. SUPPORTING DEPARTMENT DEVELOPMENT IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS: EVALUATION OF WORK UNDERTAKEN IN 2003/2004

    To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services describing the outcome from the sixth year of support for departments in secondary schools carried out by subject inspectors/advisors.

8. ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF CHILDREN LOOKED AFTER 2004-2005

    To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services summarising the academic performance of children looked after in Hampshire at all key stages for 2004-2005.

9. OFSTED INSPECTIONS OF HAMPSHIRE SCHOOLS - AUTUMN 2005

    To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services summarising the outcome of all inspections under the newly implemented system up to 31 December 2005.

10. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

RECOMMENDATION:

That, by virtue of paragraphs 1, 7, 11 and 13 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items.

    To consider the confidential report of the Director of Children's Services providing an update on the progress of those schools which had been identified as requiring some additional support through project management.
