1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

5. UPDATE ON SCHEMES IN THE CAPITAL PROGRAMME

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment providing a progress update on transport schemes within the 2005/06 Capital Programme together with schemes for the 2006/07 Capital Programme that have been approved by the Executive Member for Environment : South Hampshire and Resource Management on 18 January 2006.

6. UPDATE ON HIGHWAY AND MINOR WORKS PROGRAMME

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining progress on the 2005/06 Highway Maintenance and Minor Capital Works Programmes and providing details on the 2006/07 Highway Maintenance Budget.

7. PASSENGER TRANSPORT

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment providing details of the latest position on concessionary fares, bus services, bus infrastructure improvements, community transport and rail issues.

8. BASINGSTOKE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

    To consider a report of the Head of Engineering at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council updating Members on progress and new issues arising since the last report to the Panel in November 2005.

9. CASUALTY REDUCTION PROGRAMMES

To consider a report of the Director of Environment outlining progress on the

Hampshire County Council and Hampshire Isle of Wight Safety Camera

Partnership casualty reduction programmes for 2005/06 and the proposed

shape of the Second Local Transport Plan (LTP) supported programmes

commencing in 2006/07.

10. TRAVEL PLAN PROGRAMMES

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment updating Members on the workplace and school travel planning programmes in the Basingstoke are, together with an update on the Basingstoke Safer Routes to Schools programme.

11. OTHER HIGHWAY RELATED PROGRAMMES

    To consider a report of the Director of Environment detailing the programmes for Intelligent Transport Systems, Hampshire Villages Initiative, Bridgeworks, Intelligent Transport Systems, Pedestrian Crossings and Development Related Works.

12. THE POSSIBIITY OF TRANSFERRING HIGHWAY WEEDKILLING

    TO THE DISTRICT COUNCIL AGENTS

To consider a report of the Director of Environment informing Members of

the views of district officers in relation to operating an agency service for

weed-killing and to ask Members to consider performance standards.
