All Members who believe they have a personal or a personal prejudicial interest
in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare their personal interest
and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12
of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting
whilst the matter is discussed. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

(a) Review of Education Provision for Deaf and Hearing Impaired Children
To consider the report and recommendations to the Executive (Lead) Member for Children's Services on the outcomes of consultations on key issues relating to the provision of deaf and hearing impaired (HI) children and the options for the future pattern of provision for deaf and HI children.

(a) Prioritising Topics From Briefing
To agree which items from the Briefing Session on 5 September 2006 the
Work Programme will focus on. A summary of feedback will be available at the meeting.

To consider issues relating to past, present or future Task and Finish Thematic Work Groups.
Responses, Monitoring and Follow-up
(a) The Special Educational Needs Statutory Assessment Process
To consider the response from the Executive (Lead) Member for Children's Services to the recommendations made in the report of 22 May 2006 to the Children's Services PRC - Children's Special Needs Task Group - The Special Educational Needs Statutory Assessment Process.
6. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC
Recommendation
That in relation to the following items the public be excluded from the meeting, as it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during the items there would be disclosure to them of exempt information within Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, and further that in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information, for the reasons set out in the reports.

(a) Residential Care Review (Exempt)
To consider the report and recommendations to the Executive (Lead) Member for Children's Services concerning future options for Residential Care.
