2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

      All Members who believe they have a personal or a personal prejudicial interest in any

      matter to be considered at the meeting must declare that personal interest and having regard

      to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the County Council's Code

      of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed. The

      declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

PART 2 - ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION

6 FORTHCOMING EXECUTIVE MEMBER DECISION - REVIEW OF EDUCATION PROVISION FOR DEAF AND HEARING IMPAIRED CHILDREN

    To consider the report and recommendations to be submitted to the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services on 15 February 2007 in respect of the review of resourced provision for deaf and hearing impaired children.

7. CHILDREN'S SERVICES REVENUE BUDGET 2007/08, 2008/09 AND 2009/10

    To consider the report submitted to the Policy and Resources Policy Review Committee on

    1 February 2007 setting out the proposed Children's Services revenue budget for 2007/08, a provisional budget for 2008/09 and 2009/10 and a revised budget for 2006/07.

PART 3 - WORK PROGRAMME

8. ADMISSIONS POLICY WORKSHOP

    To consider the recommendations from the Committee to the Schools Admissions Forum. Members are asked to consider this correspondence and decide on any further action to be taken.

9. CORPORATE PARENTING WORKSHOP : FEEDBACK

    To consider the summary feedback paper on the workshop which took place on 6 December 2006. Members are also asked to consider the way forward.

10. YOUTH CRIME AND SCHOOL EXCLUSIONS

      Proposals for taking this work forward will be presented at the meeting.

11. CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE PRC - WORK PROGRAMME

    To consider the forward work programme (sheet 1) and backward looking work programme

    (sheet 2) for the Committee.

12. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

Recommendation

    That in relation to the following item the public be excluded from the meeting, as it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during the item there would be disclosure to them of exempt information within Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, and further that in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information, for the reasons set out in the report.

13. RESIDENTIAL CARE REVIEW (EXEMPT)

To receive an update on future options for Residential Care. The decision sheet and

    exempt report approved by the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services on

    12 October 2006 are enclosed herewith.
