2 APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

To appoint a Chairman until the Annual Meeting of the Authority in 2008.

3 APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHAIRMEN

To appoint two Vice-Chairmen until the Annual Meeting of the Authority in 2008.

4 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

All Members who believe they have a personal or a prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare their personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the Fire Authority's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

11 SOUTH EAST FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICES' REGIONAL MANAGEMENT BOARD - UPDATE

To receive the report of the Chief Officer about the key issues arising from the South East Fire and Rescue Services' Regional Management Board Annual General Meeting held on 4 April, 2007.

12 ELECTION OF CHIEF FIRE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION (CFOA) VICE PRESIDENT ELECT - CHIEF OFFICER HAMPSHIRE FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE

To receive the report of the Chief Officer advising the Authority about being appointed as Vice President Elect of the Chief Fire Officers' Association.

13 FIRE AND RESCUE PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT 2006

To consider the report of the Chief Officer summarising the outcomes of the Fire and Rescue Performance Assessment for 2006. A short powerpoint presentation will be included as part of this item.

14 IMPROVEMENT PLANNING REGISTER

To consider the report of the Chief Officer which details the actions taken to address the corporate issues identified for improvement under the Authority's Integrated Risk Management Plan.

15 MINUTES OF PERFORMANCE REVIEW COMMITTEE - 15 MARCH, 2007

To receive the Minutes of the Performance Review Committee held on 15 March, 2007 which include recommendations to the Fire Authority on revised terms of reference and increase in Members to serve on Improvement Planning Steering Board (relevant reports are attached).

16 INSURANCE ARRANGEMENTS - FIRE AND RESCUE AUTHORITIES MUTUAL LIMITED

To consider the report of the Chief Officer about the Authority's participation in the Fire and Rescue Authorities Mutual Limited (FRAML) with effect from 1 July, 2007.

To receive the Minutes of the Standards Committee held on 16 March, 2007.

20 MINUTES OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE - 2O APRIL, 2007

To receive the Minutes of the Human Resources Committee held on 20 April, 2007 which include a recommendation to the Fire Authority on the Gender Equality Scheme (relevant report is attached).

21 CALENDAR OF HAMPSHIRE FIRE AND RESCUE AUTHORITY AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS 2008

To note that the Clerk is in the process of setting these dates, which are being coordinated, with those dates currently being programmed in relation to County Council meetings for 2008. It is also intended to involve the 2 City Councils in this. The calendar of HFRA and Committee meetings for 2008 will then be circulated to Members over the next few weeks.
