2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

All Members who believe they have a personal or a personal prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare their personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

5. AUDIT COMMISSION ANNUAL GOVERNANCE REPORT 2006/07 (Report to follow)

The Audit Commission's report summarising their conclusions from their 2006/07 audit work is not yet available and will follow as soon as the Commission has finalised it.

6. CORPORATE GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK

To consider a report of the Head of Corporate and Legal Services and Monitoring Officer and the County Treasurer as to how the County Council might wish to deal with the new corporate governance ground rules issued by CIPFA and SOLACE.

7. RISK MANAGEMENT - TRAINING FOR COUNTY COUNCILLORS

To note that it is proposed to arrange training jointly for members of the Cabinet and this Committee on the management of risk. It is anticipated that this should be delivered during the Autumn and an event on 5th November (pm) or 19th November (am) 2007 is planned.

8. ANNUAL AUDIT OPINION 2006/07

To consider a report of the Director of Adult Services pursuant to Minute 94 of the previous meeting. Rea Mattocks (Director of Adult Services) and Jos Creese (Head of IT Services) will be attending for this item.

9. MEMBERS' ATTENDANCES AT CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS - 2006/07.

To receive the annual report of the Chief Executive on action taken under delegated powers as to Members' attendances at conferences.
