1. COMMISSIONING STRATEGY FOR SUPPORT AND TRAINING SERVICES TO CHILDCARE PROVIDERS FROM 2008/09 TO 2010/11

To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services seeking approval for the Early Education Childcare Unit to develop a three year commissioning strategy for support services and training services to childcare providers from 2008/09 to 2010/11.

3. MODEL FOR GOVERNANCE OF CHILD CENTRES IN HAMPSHIRE - AMENDMENTS AND PROGRAMME UPDATE

To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services seeking approval to revisions to the model of governance of children's centres in Hampshire and an amendment to the contract length for childcare in children's centres.

4. YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES FUND GRANTS 2007/08

To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services seeking approval to Youth Opportunity Fund grant applications in relation to Volunteering Taster Days for 11-15 year olds in Eastleigh; Rights Odyssey Respect Responsibilities Group, Fareham; The Multi-Sensory Studio Project - Rachel Maddocks School, Cowplain; Young People's Equipment/Resources Ideas for The Original Place, Leigh Park, Havant; Garden Make Over Magic, Brune Park Youth Centre and Leesland State Park Project.

5. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

RECOMMENDATION:

That in relation to the following items the public be excluded from the meeting as it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during the items there would be disclosure to them of exempt information within Paragraphs 1,2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, and further that, in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information, for the reasons set out in the reports.
