1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

To receive any apologies for absence.

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

    All Members who believe they have a personal or prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare that interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed, save for exercising any right to speak in accordance with paragraph 12 of the Code. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

4. CHAIRMAN'S COMMUNICATIONS

To receive any communications the Chairman may wish to make.

5. LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSION SCHEME - AMENDMENT TO EARLY RETIREMENT POLICY FOR NON TEACHING STAFF

      To consider the report of the County Treasurer and Director of Human Resources seeking approval to an adjustment to the policy for clarification purposes.

6. LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSION SCHEME - EMPLOYER DISCRETIONARY POLICIES

      To consider the report of the County Treasurer and Director of Human Resources recommending a review of the County Council's discretionary policies in the context of the requirements of new pensions regulations.

7. ADMITTED BODY STATUS - DEPARTMENT FOR COMMUNITIES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DCLG) CONSULTATION RESPONSE

      To consider the report of the County Treasurer and Director of Human Resources in response to a consultation being undertaken by the DCLG as to the operation of existing provisions regarding Admitted Body Status and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

8. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

RECOMMENDATION:

      That the press and public be excluded from the meeting as it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present, there would be disclosure to them of exempt information within Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, being information relating to the County Council's business or financial affairs which should not be disclosed for the reasons set out in the report.

9. PAY ARRANGEMENTS FOR MEMBERS OF THE CORPORATE MANAGEMENT TEAM (to follow)

    To consider the exempt report of the Chief Executive.
