2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
All Members who believe they have a personal or a personal prejudicial interest in any
matter to be considered at the meeting must declare that personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed, save for exercising any right to speak in accordance with paragraph 12 of the Code. 6. JOINT AREA REVIEW 2007 - PROGRESS
To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services summarising the progress towards the implementation of the Joint Area Review 2007 Action Plan, including actions to improve identification and support for young carers and commissioning developments in phase 2 of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Trust.
7. CHILDREN IN CARE
To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services about the development of a new commissioning strategy for children in care.
8. 14-19 DIPLOMAS IN HAMPSHIRE
To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services giving an update on 14-19 Diplomas in Hampshire - a topic identified by the Committee for ongoing scrutiny during 2008.
PART 3 - WORK PROGRAMME
9. UPDATE ON PROGRESS WITH SCRUTINY OF RESPITE
To receive a verbal update from the Scrutiny Officer on the outcomes of the Conference On Short Breaks held on 10 March 2008.
10. REVIEW OF SCHOOL EXCLUSIONS
To receive the final report by the Scrutiny Officer on behalf of the Exclusions Review Group.
11. CHILD WELLBEING IN RICH COUNTRIES
To consider the inclusion of a Commission on Child Wellbeing as part of the Committee's work programme for 2008-9.

The following topics were identified by the Committee for scrutiny in its 2008-9 work programme.
Short Breaks (Respite), Palliative Care and Carer Services for Children with Severe Disabilities |
Policy Review/Development: 1) Multi-stakeholder workshop (10 March 08) to set priorities for improvement and monitoring; 2) Quarterly reports to the CYPSC throughout 2008 may be requested, to report on progress; 3) Second multi-stakeholder workshop (February/March 2009) to review progress made against expressed priorities and formulate recommendations to Executive Member if appropriate. |
Corporate Parenting: Development and Delivery of a Pledge for Children in Care |
