5. Final response arising from the scrutiny review of the effectiveness of
passenger transport in the community

      This report seeks Cabinet support for further work relating to the follow up of selected responses by the Executive Member for Environment to the reviews being taken forward by the Environment and Transportation Select Committee.

6. Proposed response to the recommendations arising from the Policy and
Resources Select Committee's review of the County Council's current
scrutiny arrangements

      This report seeks Cabinet approval of the proposed response prepared by the Cabinet Working Group to the recommendations arising from the recent review of the County Council's existing scrutiny arrangements, which was carried out by the Policy and Resources Select Committee.

7. London 2012: Olympic and Paralympic Games

    This report seeks a directive from Cabinet as to the next steps for the County Council's approach to the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

8. County Council response to the second joint inspectorate consultation on the
Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA)

    This report seeks Cabinet approval of the County Council's draft response to the
    joint inspectorate consultation on the new CAA framework.

9. County Council response to the Policing Green Paper

    This report seeks Cabinet approval of the County Council's draft response to the Policing Green Paper "From the Neighbourhood to the National: policing our communities together".

10. Election Day - Weekend voting: County Council response to Government consultation paper

    This report seeks Cabinet approval of the County Council's draft response to the consultation paper issued by the Ministry of Justice on weekend voting.

11. Government's proposed changes to the draft South East Plan: Hampshire County Council response

    This report seeks Cabinet approval of the County Council's draft response to the Government's proposed changes to the South East Plan to ensure that Hampshire's interests are safeguarded in the finalisation of the regional plan.

12. 2008/09 Budget Monitoring

    This report details the latest monitoring position with the County Council's budget for 2008/09.

13. Medium term financial plan update and public consultation update

      This report seeks Cabinet approval of a medium term financial strategy for 2008/09 and 2010/11, following consultation on elements of the strategy.
