2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

All Members who believe they have a personal or prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare that interest and, having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed, save for exercising any right to speak in accordance with paragraph 12 of the Code. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

6. MONITORING SUB GROUP

To receive the report of the Director of Children's Services on the activities and findings of the monitoring sub group with regards to standards and provision for RE in Hampshire schools.

7. TEACHING ABOUT THE CREATIONISM AND EVOLUTION DEBATE IN SCHOOLS

To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services concerning the current debate regarding teaching about Creationism and Evolution in schools.

8. COMMUNITY COHESION PROJECT

To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services on the progress of the Community Cohesion Project in its second year.

9. NETWORKING WITH LOCAL SACREs

To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services on the proposed activities of the joint SACREs.

10. THE INDEPENDENT REVIEW OF THE PRIMARY CURRICULUM

To receive the report of the Director of Children's Services about the recently published Government review of the Primary Curriculum.

11. CHANGE OF MEETING DATE

To note that the Summer meeting of SACRE originally scheduled for Tuesday 9 June 2009 has been cancelled due to the County Council elections. The new date is now:

Thursday 9 July 2009 at an outside venue at 2.00 pm.
