1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

    To receive any apologies for absence.

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST


    All Members who believe they have a personal or prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare that interest and, having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed, save for exercising any right to speak in accordance with paragraph 12 of the Code. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

3. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING AND MATTERS ARISING

    To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 24 February 2009

4. CHAIRMAN'S ANNOUNCEMENTS

To receive any Chairman's Announcements, including a paper clarifying the report as discussed in minute 129.

5. DEPUTATIONS

To receive any deputations.

6. MONITORING SUB GROUP

    To receive the report of the Director of Children's Services on the activities and findings of the monitoring sub group with regards to standards and provision for RE in Hampshire schools.

    To provide advice to head teachers and governing bodies of primary phase schools about suitable arrangements for the teaching and time management of RE to enhance children's learning.

7. QCA's PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO CIRCULAR 1/94

    To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services on proposed changes to Circular 1/94 to enable SACRE to make a response to QCA.

8. COMMUNITY COHESION PROJECT

    To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services on the progress of the Community Cohesion Project in its second year and planned developments of the project into 2011.

9. NETWORKING WITH LOCAL SACREs

    To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services on the proposed activities of the joint SACREs.

10. THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATE OF SACRE's (NASACRE) CONFERENCE

    To receive the report of the Director of Children's Services on the conference held in Birmingham on the 4 June.

11. THE REVISED CONSTITUTION FOR SACRE

    To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services that details the suggested amendments to the old SACRE constitution and approve the suggested amendments.
