AGENDA
After the meeting Mark Chater from QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) will speak to SACRE about QCA's plans for developing RE nationally and the proposed activities of the "Alignment group" in relation to the revision of an agreed syllabus.. Hampshire support officers will be attending "Alignment group" meetings.

To receive any apologies for absence.
3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
All Members who believe they have a personal or prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meeting must declare that interest and, having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the County Council's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed, save for exercising any right to speak in accordance with paragraph 12 of the Code. The declaration should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

To receive any Chairman's Communications.
6. DEPUTATIONS
To receive any deputations.
7. SACRE's ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2008/09:
To receive the report of the Chief Officer on the activities of the SACRE during the academic year 2008-2009 and to approve the report to be sent to the appropriate bodies.
8. MONITORING SUB GROUP
To receive the report of the Chief Officer to inform SACRE of the activities and findings of the monitoring sub group with regards to standards and provision for RE in Hampshire Schools.
9. GCSE RESULTS
To receive the report (to be tabled) of the Chief Officer providing an overview of the GCSE results for RE short and full courses in Hampshire.
10. NETWORKING WITH LOCAL SACREs
To consider the report of the Director of Children's Services on the proposed activities of the joint SACREs.
11. THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATE OF SACRE's (NASACRE) TRAINING PROGRAMME
To receive the report of the Chief Officer on the meeting attended, agree to submit vacancies to NASACRE and offer training to new SACRE Members.
12. COMMUNITY COHESION PROJECT AND THE PREVENT STRATEGY
To receive the report on the developments of the project and endorse the continued development of the Community Cohesion project led by the Hampshire Museum Service.
13. GCSE STUDENTS CONFERENCE WITH HAMPSHIRE AND PORTSMOUTH SCHOOLS.
To receive the report on the conference held in July 2009 and endorse the continued provision of this annual conference for Hampshire Secondary Schools.
