How we manage your personal data

The General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018 require organisations, businesses and the government to keep your personal information secure and to only use it in accordance with the data protection principles.

We ensure that any personal information used by us or given to us is treated in accordance with data protection legislation. These privacy notices explains how we use your personal information and the ways in which we protect your privacy.

Governor Services has three privacy notices covering the different ways in which we collect and use data to enable us to deliver our services and statutory functions.

New Governor Applicants: this notice is applicable to those people filling out a new governor application form. The data is used to enable the Service to process the form and find a placement for the applicant.

Hampshire Maintained Schools and Education Centres: this notice is applicable to all those involved in governance in one of these settings, including governors, Headteachers, Clerks and associate members.

Academies and non Hampshire County Council Schools: this notice is applicable to all those involved in governance in one of these settings, including governors, Headteachers, Clerks and associate members, where the relevant board has contracted to use our services.
