Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity
Information for educators in Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA).
High‑quality Physical Education (PE) helps children and young people build physical skills and confidence. It also supports their social, emotional and cognitive development through movement.
A strong PE curriculum, linked with school sport and whole‑school physical activity, encourages healthy, active habits both in and out of school.
The Hampshire PE team
The Hampshire PE team includes primary and secondary specialists. We support people involved in delivering PE, physical activity and school sport. We provide health and safety guidance to school leaders, and help PE subject leaders with curriculum planning. We also and help with whole‑staff training across PESSPA.
Qualifications
We work with awarding organisations to offer national qualifications. The organisations we work with include:

Our partners
We collaborate with other Hampshire County Council teams and external partners to provide schools with PESSPA training and guidance. Our partners include:
