Graduate Entry Training Scheme (GETS) for NQSWs
Our pioneering Graduate Entry Training Scheme (GETS) offers newly qualified social workers the opportunity to accelerate their learning and experience in an Outstanding local authority. Our GETS scheme is unique to Hampshire County Council and will afford you an insight into the structure and practice of an Outstanding service provider.
GETS is an entirely new way of supporting children’s social workers through their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and will ensure you build the skills and confidence you need to fully equip you for the challenges of frontline social work.
As part of this scheme, you will be given an individually tailored induction before undertaking a secondment with ample shadowing opportunities, where you will begin to develop your portfolio, before being appointed to a substantive role.
One of the key benefits of our scheme is that you will be able to share your learning and experience with your wide network of peers, as well as call on their support.
The starting salary is £29,583 plus a £2,000 market supplement (£31,583) raising to £33,653 per annum after successful completion of ASYE, with a £3,000 one-off payment upon successful completion of GETS.
