Flood alleviation projects

Hampshire County Council is working with partners to undertake flood alleviation projects throughout Hampshire.

Flood investigations

Under Section 19 of the Flood & Water Management Act, when flooding reaches a defined trigger level a formal investigation is undertaken and will be published on this page.

This is "significant flooding" which is defined as:

  • flooding that affects 20 or more properties internally in one flood event within the same location
  • flooding that affects significant lengths of public highways and lasts for a period of 3 hours or more from the onset of flooding

These areas can also be viewed on our Flood and Water Management App.
