The Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) for Hampshire was launched on Monday 8 December 2025 at Ashburton Hall in Winchester. Led by Hampshire County Council, the Strategy was created in partnership with a number of Supporting Authorities including all districts and boroughs, national park authorities and unitaries within the Hampshire area.

The Strategy, split into 4 parts, is a material consideration in planning, with local planning authorities being required to have regard to the Strategy when making decisions related to local plans and planning applications. See more information about the Strategy.
