What is adoption?
Some children sadly cannot grow up being looked after by their birth parents. Adoption provides a child or children a permanent loving and caring family life with a non-birth parent (or parents) with full legal parental responsibility.
What is fostering?
Fostering is when a child or young person is cared for by someone who is not their parent or guardian. It provides them with a temporary place to stay. They eventually return home or go to live with family members.
