man out walking with support

What is Shared Lives?

Shared Lives is for people over 18 who want to live as independently as possible within a caring and supportive household. It’s a completely flexible support service that can work for people from all walks of life, with all levels of need.

The service is provided by specially recruited and trained Shared Lives carers who share our values and put the people we support first, empowering them to reach their goals.

“The support is the exact same as what I would give, they are part of their family which is the best I could’ve hoped for.”

Shared Lives is where individuals can live with their Shared Lives carer and their family, or choose to receive daytime support or respite support. We offer both short- term and long-term arrangements, ensuring that every aspect of our service is personalised to each person who uses it and their carers from start to finish.

Our service and carers allow us to support individuals as much or as little as they want or need.

Shared Lives is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
See the latest CQC overview and inspection report.
