A guide for Special Guardians

Special Guardianship is a way of providing a permanent, stable home for a child when they are unable to live with their birth parents.

The Family Connections Service at Hampshire County Council can provide guidance, support and practical advice about Special Guardianship, whether you're considering a Special Guardianship Order, currently being assessed or have had an order granted.

These pages have been put together to help provide guidance on your journey to becoming a Special Guardian and beyond. We hope you find the information useful but if you do have any further questions or would like to speak with a member of our team, please email [email protected].

We have a newsletter that we use to share information, training opportunities and helpful hints that you may find useful. Please complete our subscription form to sign up to receive updates.
