Our free talk & walk will include coinage of the period, how much people earned and what they spent their money on. It will also include some relevant social and economic history of the time -
The final part of the talk will bring us more up to date by featuring Staunton's 'Sixpenny Six' of 1969 who made the front pages of the National press.
The talk will be followed by a walk around the site looking over the history of the parklands and features still present today.
We advise to wear suitable clothing and footwear to cope with uneven terrain and inclement weather. The walk and talk is free to those that book their place. We have car parking available onsite (via Petersfield Road).Please note car parking charges apply to those who are attending the talk.
