In the heart of the park, The Barn is a bright and versatile space for a wedding reception of up to 50 guests. It also includes a spacious outdoor area, so your celebration can flow between the cosy comfort of the indoors and the beauty of the surrounding parkland.
Just a five-minute walk from the peaceful banks of the River Hamble, you’ll be perfectly placed for romantic strolls and beautiful photo opportunities.

The Barn evening package
Our package includes hire of The Barn for your celebration, and access to the riverside for strolls and stunning photo opportunities.
Cost: £530
Capacity: Up to 50 guests.
Included in this package:
- Day before event to set up from 5pm to 9pm.
- Access on event day from 6pm to 11.30pm.
Food and drink
From elegant canapés to afternoon teas and hearty buffets, our catering options are designed to suit every celebration. Crafted by our friendly team, our in-house menus offer fresh, seasonal Hampshire produce, such as local trout, heritage tomatoes and handmade desserts. External caterers are welcome too. Finishing touches
Our event space at River Hamble Country Park is dry hire, meaning that the cost of your booking only includes the venue itself. This gives you the freedom to add your own finishing touches like flowers, decorations, and music. The space includes tables and chairs, but you can request more if needed.
Where to find us
We are half a mile from Junction 8 off the M27, between Portsmouth and Southampton. Navigate to Pylands Lane and follow the road through the park to the signposted car parks.
If you’re using a sat nav to find your way to the park via the postcode, use SO31 1BH and look out for brown tourist information signs to guide you in the right direction.

While The Barn is a wonderful place to host your wedding celebration, it isn’t licensed for legal marriage ceremonies. You’ll need to complete the legal part of your marriage at a licensed venue. For helpful guidance on how to get married in Hampshire, we recommend reading the Hampshire Registration Service’s guide.
Prices are valid until end March 2027. Pricing for subsequent years is subject to change. After this date, they are subject to review and may increase.
Access on the event day will be available from 6pm. Please liaise with the Wedding Organiser regarding any additional arrangements or requests to confirm what can be accommodated locally.
On-site parking is available for all guests.
