Bursaries towards costs available to schools

Lovely Rotters bursary

Is that rubbish? Learning about decay, how to look after waste and the environment. This programme is supported by the Waste Prevention Community Fund, and we have funding to support family learning and school visits until the 31 March 2025. Further information.

Art in the Garden

Gather inspiration and create artwork while surrounded by natural forms, textures and shapes, and, for visits between 24 February and 31st March 2024 see not only our own sculpture collection, but also:

Sculptural Interventions at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens

Schools within a 10-mile radius of Romsey are eligible for a bursary towards costs. The bursary will be applied per class on visits before the 31 March 2025. Eight grants of £100 each are available thanks to the generosity of the Arts Society, Romsey.

Access to Greener Education Bursary for Autumn 2024 visits

We have funding to support eligible schools visiting us by coach in September and October 2024. Why by coach? Because, increasingly, we see that the costs of coach travel force you to rely on parents driving. This introduces parking, traffic, insurance, and child protection issues but also increases carbon emissions.

Thanks to a Tesco Stronger Starts grant, we can support up to 8 classes with a bursary of £125 each. To qualify, schools must book and attend a visit in September or October and be within the 3 miles of the following postcodes: Eastleigh (SO50 4HP or SO50 5PN); Bishopstoke (SO50 6LA); Fair Oak (SO50 7HD); Valley Park (SO53 4ST); or Chandler’s Ford (SO53 5RD).
