Display at RHS Hampton Court flower show

This year at the RHS Hampton Court Flower show, (now renamed the RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival), the Gardens had the opportunity to exhibit in two areas. We are delighted to have received two silver medals from the show.

One as a floral exhibit in the marquee and one with Plant Heritage displaying our national collections under a Lindley award. This is for educational value as has become the student’s ‘project’. This year Jacqui and Emma, who are soon to complete the years student programme with us, took on board the challenge of producing an educational exhibit using plants from our 14 National Plant Collections. They created an amazing display with the backdrop of Jermyns House and a copy of the bust of Sir Harold, in situ in our Heather Gardens. This was awarded a silver medal Lindley.

Fran, our Head Gardener and a small team of staff, help to create a floral exhibit, displaying aspects of the types of plants we grow here in the Gardens. All surrounding a bench dedicated to the memory of Sir Harold and Lady Hillier. This was actually the Gardens first floral exhibit in the marquee. We were awarded a silver medal for this beautiful display.
