Last Friday, our very own winter garden featured on the long-running BBC show Gardeners’ World.
The show is now available to watch back on the BBC’s website.
The hour-long episode is the second of three Winter specials to be aired this month on BBC Two.
We were joined at the Gardens by regular Gardeners’ World presenter Nick Bailey, the former head gardener at the Chelsea Physic Garden.
He filmed a segment at our winter garden which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
The winter garden project began in December 1996 to relay the message of conservation and sustainability. The official opening was by former Deputy Prime Minister Lord Heseltine and he returned to plant a Cornus wilsoniana to mark the anniversary.
Gardeners’ World is one of longest running shows on BBC, having first aired in 1968.
For those of you who may not be able to access BBC iPlayer, it is also being repeated on BBC Two early on Thursday morning.
