Last update: December 2024
- Scheme overview
-
A pedestrian improvement scheme in Bishops Waltham Town Centre, making improvements to three locations including:
- Crossing improvements at the northern entrance to Basingwell Street carpark, on Houchin Street;
- Pavement widening improvements to Bank Street;
- Pavement widening and crossing improvements over the southern entrance to Basingwell Street Carpark and Lower Basingwell Street.
Works expected to start early 2025.
- Funding Arrangements
-
Funding for the transport capital delivery schemes is separate from the County Council’s revenue budget and savings proposals. In the majority of cases funding comes from external grants and / or Section 106 contribution from developers. This funding usually has conditions that strictly control on how, where and when it can be spent.
