Widening of existing footpath and changing its status to allow for future shared pedestrian and cycle use.

Scheme overview

This scheme will see construction of a wider and safer route on Havant Borough Council land for pupils accessing Morelands Primary School.  The existing footpath will be revised (a plan to show the design will be published in the near future) between Copse Close and Crookhorn Lane, which is currently on a steep gradient and totally inaccessible to mobility-impaired users.  Please view the proposed improvements and location plan.

There may also be an opportunity to explore planting of trees, grassland and wildflower meadow on the land south of the proposed footway.

Works expected to start Autumn 2024.
