Powers

  • To apply for changes to the map through Definitive Map Modification Order (DMMO) and Public Path Orders (PPO) - Anybody has the right to present evidence to the County Council that an unrecorded Right of Way exists and to apply to have that path recorded on the Definitive Map and Statement. More about Definitive Map Modification Orders (DMMOs)
  • To make orders to enable development related changes - Districts have powers to create new paths by agreement or order. They can also make orders to divert or extinguish paths
  • To hold copies of the map and orders - Districts may wish to keep available for public inspection a copy of the Definitive Map and Statement for their area, together with copies of any orders that have made changes since the map was last published
  • To object to an order to change the map
