Begin your journey

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) is for young people between the ages of 14 and 25. You will gain new experiences, meet new people, challenge yourself and have fun. Take part in activities to gain new skills and build confidence.

There are three Award programmes:

  • Bronze Award – for young people aged 14+ years
  • Silver Award – for young people aged 15+ years
  • Gold Award – for young people aged 16+ years

What's involved?

You will carry out a personal programme of volunteering, skills, physical activities and expeditions.

You can enrol on DofE for as little as £27, with funding available for expeditions and activities.

How do I start?

The first step on your DofE Adventure is to sign up with one of your local DofE Centres.
