Start your DofE Adventure
Try new experiences, make new friends and show everybody what you can do
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) is for young people between the ages of 14 and 25. You will gain new experiences, meet new people, challenge yourself and have fun. Take part in activities to gain new skills and build confidence.
There are three Award programmes:
- Bronze Award – for young people aged 14+ years
- Silver Award – for young people aged 15+ years
- Gold Award – for young people aged 16+ years
What's involved?
You will carry out a personal programme of volunteering, skills, physical activities and expeditions.
What does it cost?
You can enrol on DofE for as little as £30, with funding available for expeditions and activities.
How do I start?
The first step on your DofE Adventure is to sign up with one of your local DofE Centres.
Gold Residential
If you are taking your Gold Award, you will undertake a shared residential activity away from home for 5 days.
Open Expeditions
A programme of open expeditions for those unable to complete their expeditions section with their school or DofE Centre.
