Following Government guidance regarding the coronavirus outbreak, all educational visits to Hampshire Outdoor Centres are suspended until further notice. The social distancing guidelines in place nationally also mean that all residential visits are postponed until the Government informs us otherwise.

Challenge and Adventure Horse Riding Residential

Hampshire County Council are thrilled to offer a 5 day/4-night Horse Riding Residential, in conjunction with Cheston Farm Equestrian Centre. Love horses? Love riding? With the huge expanse of Dartmoor just a short ride up the road, we are looking for adventurous and confident riders to come and enjoy up to 3 hours of riding daily. If you are not quite capable or confident to gallop out on Dartmoor, our instructors will give you a week of intense riding tuition in one of our three arenas working towards some steady hacking on lanes or shorter rides on Dartmoor. You goal will be to have a canter on the moor by the end of the week.

  • Local Authority 5 star licensed and BHS Highly Commended Centre
  • Minimum of 3 hours of riding a day

  • Intense riding tuition with fully qualified instructors

Vegan and Vegetarian Cookery Residential

Film Making and Screen Acting Residential

Hampshire County Council are thrilled to offer a 5 day/4-night Film Making and Screen Acting Residential, in conjunction with Bright Movement Performing Arts. A fabulous chance to learn about and develop your film making skills and screen acting! Learn about the skills for pre-production, take part in a film shoot and then see your project through post-production.

What's involved?

  • Over the five days you will look at the key skills that are vital to film making. Day 1 will primarily focus on pre-production, with an emphasis on story-lining, scriptwriting, scheduling, creating shot lists and location hunting
  • Days 2-4 will be shoot days where you will film the project that you planned on day 1
  • The final day will be dedicated to post production. You will review the footage and begin to learn techniques for editing
  • Guided by our industry experts, you will learn ‘on the job’ rather than sat down in a classroom

Earth, Wind and Fire – Yoga retreat

A 5-day yoga residential for young people doing their Gold Duke of Edinburgh's award, located in the heart of Dartmoor National Park.
