Access Adventure
Inspiring potential and achievement through high-quality inclusive learning programmes.
The Access Adventure Team supports young people who may be vulnerable, disengaged, or facing challenges. We offer inclusive outdoor learning programmes that help build healthy lifestyles, resilience and wellbeing.
Our high‑quality outdoor education programmes give both young people and adults the chance to develop new skills and achieve personal goals. We work with individuals through our Outdoor Achievements programme. We also offer several programmes for small groups. Our programmes are held at our site or at a range of outdoor adventure locations. Sessions run in line with Hampshire school term times.
Our experienced staff can tailor outdoor learning programmes for young people with a wide range of needs including:
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- behavioural needs
- mental health needs
Eligibility and application for our programmes
Hampshire SEN colleagues can refer young people using the referral form. We can't currently accept any referrals directly from schools or other professionals. Young people would usually be referred for a minimum of one full term.
This programme is suitable for:
- young people who have an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP)
- young people who are involved in multi-agency support
- young people who are not currently in education, employment or training
I feel that Hampshire Outdoors has an approach which puts them above other services.
Their approach is bespoke to the CYP in their care and they have an interest in matching them with a staff member who can support and understand their needs which is fundamental to connect with autistic young people or who have a learning disability.
