Access Adventure

Inspiring potential and achievement through high-quality inclusive learning programmes

The Access Adventure Team work with vulnerable, disengaged, or challenging young people through a variety of different inclusive outdoor learning programmes, designed to promote healthy lifestyles, resilience and wellbeing.

We deliver varied, high-quality outdoor education programmes that allow for the personal development and achievement of young people and adults. We work with individuals (Outdoor Achievements) and small groups, both on-site and across multiple outdoor adventure locations. Our delivery follows Hampshire school term times.

Programmes are delivered by staff with extensive training and experience in developing outdoor alternative provision tailored to the needs of all young people referred to our service, including those with:

  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • behavioural needs
  • mental health needs

Eligibility and application for our programmes

Hampshire SEN colleagues can refer young people using the referral form. We are not currently able to accept any referrals directly from schools or other professionals. Young people would typically be referred for a minimum of one full term. This programme is suitable for:

  • young people who have an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP)
  • young people who are involved in multi-agency support
  • young people who are not currently in education, employment or training
I feel that Hampshire Outdoors has an approach which puts them above other services.

Their approach is bespoke to the CYP in their care and they have an interest in matching them with a staff member who can support and understand their needs which is fundamental to connect with autistic young people or who have a learning disability.
