What can I get involved with?
  • Providing work experience placements
  • Working with your local school e.g. careers talks; enterprise activities; mock interviews; one-to-one mentoring of students; hosting visits to your workplace for students and/or school staff; becoming a school governor
  • Apprenticeships
  • Becoming a Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteer
  • Hampshire Investors in Young People
Offering Work Experience

We can help you if your organisation would like to provide work experience for a young person.

We can offer you:

  • assistance in defining roles and tasks for the work experience programme
  • completion of health and safety checks and assistance with all appropriate paperwork
  • an opportunity to evaluate and review the placement once the young person has completed it

We work closely with you and the student’s school, and the college or training provider to ensure everyone is fully informed about the placement.

The young person will be briefed before they start the placement. This will ensure they have a valuable experience. We will also assess and de-brief the student once they have completed their placement.
