Fostering Hampshire Children is excited to announce we have translated our Fostering Information Pack into two additional languages to reflect our diverse and growing Hampshire communities.
Following research into the socio-demographics of the communities within Hampshire combined with our drive to engage with key underrepresented community groups, Fostering Hampshire Children have translated the Information Pack into Polish and Punjabi (Urdu).
These translated information packs are available to download on our website now.
Fostering Hampshire Children will continue to work in partnership with charities, organisations and community leaders to build relationships with key community groups within Hampshire, sharing our hopes and vision and supporting the recruitment of foster carers. Together, we will continue to expand our support for foster carers and the children in care, creating peer-to-peer support services for foster households and community groups, signposting carers to resources and supporting materials, and offering cultural awareness training to our foster carers and fostering professionals alike.
It is hugely important that Fostering Hampshire Children continues to grow its community of foster carers to represent the needs and cultural heritage of the children in care. This can go a long way to understanding a child’s cultural heritage, supporting their faith and nurturing the child’s identity.
Fostering Hampshire Children urgently needs more foster carers to provide homes for Hampshire children, from babies through to teenagers, asylum seekers, sibling groups and children with additional needs or disabilities.
Can you open your door and become a foster carer in Hampshire?
