To the children and young people,
We hear your voice. We see the challenges you face. We understand this is not easy.
We will continue to listen and believe in who you are. We will give you stability, safety and a home. We will do what is best for you and support you on your journey.
We hold your hand as you walk this path. We watch you as you are supported by your foster carers, social workers, teachers, and so many more people working behind the scenes to help you on your way.
We admire your determination to learn new skills. We sense your curiosity and encourage you to explore the world around you. We see your creativity, your individual brilliance, your smiles. We marvel at your everyday achievements. We are so very proud of you all.
You are our inspiration.
Fostering Hampshire Children & Hampshire Cultural Trust
Fostering Hampshire Children and Hampshire Cultural Trust are proud to present the ‘Be the Inspiration’, a touring exhibition celebrating the creativity and aspirations of foster children.
It follows a number of artist-led workshops, hosted by Hampshire Cultural Trust, where the children of foster families had the opportunity to learn new skills, explore their creativity and take time to express themselves. The children discovered textiles, ceramics, collage and mark-making skills and produced a collection of artworks for display across Hampshire.
The exhibition is currently touring the county in Hampshire Cultural Trust community venues including museums, galleries and arts centres, with several smaller exhibitions displayed throughout Hampshire libraries.
